Logitech Di Novo Media Desktop (Bluetooth)

Logitech Di Novo Media Desktop (Bluetooth)You know how some keyboards just feel cheap, its hard to describe but the keys don't bounce right and the sound is all wrong, then throw in cables to connect both the keyboard and mouse and you can end up with a very unhappy PC user.

Wireless keyboards and mice are nothing new, in fact Logitech have been making them very successfully for years and are a trusted name in this area, but the old RF units are not the new thing anymore, the Bluetooth ones are!

Yep that's right Bluetooth Keyboard and mouse, the Logitech Di Nova media desktop may have an unusual name but its certainly got some style, the keyboard is pure craftsmanship with just the right feel to the tying action and its quite slim and sleek in its grey and silver design.

Logitech Di Novo Media Desktop (Bluetooth)Crafted as if it was sculpted the keyboard comes with a side kick the media pad, this little multimedia controller is ideal for driving everything from MP3 to CD and even contains a calculator, the pad can also receive email and messenger alerts when its detached from the keyboard even in another room! The clock on the Pad is synchronised with the main PC clock so it works as a fully independent remote commander for media control and email / messenger applications.

Next up is the mouse which is a standard Logitech wireless mouse (although this ones Bluetooth) its an optical mouse so its got no balls in that sense, it has 2 main mouse buttons and a roller wheel for making web surfing easier. The mouse can also dock on the Bluetooth hub to recharge its batteries which is pretty neat.

Logitech Di Novo Media Desktop (Bluetooth)The Bluetooth hub allows the mouse, media pad and keyboard to communicate with your PC and it connects via USB or PS2 to your PC, this also allows the hub to be paired with any other Bluetooth enabled device like a mobile phone, so no need to buy that Bluetooth dongle or card if you already have the Di Novo desktop. Unlike the Microsoft offering it does not use the MS Bluetooth stack which means it is compatible with all the major mobile phones and other devices and doesn't require you to unplug any other Bluetooth accessories.

The keyboard runs from 4 AA batteries and 2 for the media pad, which can be changed to be rechargeable the mouse charges from the hub unit, installation is simple and the instructions are good in case you get stuck, the range is 10 meters as these are all class 3 devices but this is plenty for this application.

Logitech Di Novo Media Desktop (Bluetooth)Logitech have really done themselves proud with a stylish keyboard / media pad / mouse combo which really adds something to any PC setup, the media pad is a stroke of genius and we love it so much it travelled all over the house as out portable MSN messenger!  Style doesn't come cheap but this is one little luxury item that we just had to have so a big thumbs up for the Logitech Di Novo Media Desktop.
