Cobra Microtalk PMR 2 Way Radios

Cobra Microtalk PMR 2 Way RadiosWe all like to stay in control and PMR (the UK's free wireless band) offers the ability to communicate over a 2 mile distance (terrain permitting). The Cobra Microtalk PMR 2 way radios are fully compatible with the European PMR446 radio standard this means they will work with any other radios not just the same brand. Battery life is good and the range of features while not as a comprehensive as the top of the range PMR's does stretch to VOX, 8 channels (38 sub channels), illuminated LCD screen, incoming call alert and dual frequency monitor.

The buttons are ok and well spaced for such a small radio although the menu system takes a little getting used to, the power saver mode is useful for a long day in the field and they seem to be fairly bombproof considering the price. Maybe these will suit Mountain bikers or other outdoor activities and even for those organising events who needs to stay in touch, in fact at about £60 for a pair they won't break the bank for the kids to use!
