IBM Microdrive 1gb

As portable devices increase in complexity so does the need to store more when on the move, its not uncommon for high end digital cameras to work with resolutions of 6 mega pixels, these can create huge file sizes which will fill standard flash memory in a matter of shots.  The IBM Microdrive 1gb model can connect to any CF+ Type II slot that you'll find on many PDA's and cameras and it can be fitted to a number of PCMCIA or USB memory adaptors, when in your mobile device the 1gb storage offers enough room for 400 high resolution images and it is designed to draw the minimum power needed to operator from the host device.

No need to worry about shaking it and erasing data either as the microdrive has a shock rating of 1,500 G, compared to CF cards and other PDA suitable media the microdrive offers real value for money and good data throughput.

The IBM Microdrive is one storage device that isn't exactly cool to look at but when you explain how many images you have on it or even how many MP3's it holds everyone will wonder why they hadn't thought of it and the price has reduced from £1000 when it first launched to just over £200.
