Nokia 8800 Review

It happens from time to time, we get a gadget to play with and after a week are thoroughly disappointed. Nokia's new 8800 is a point in case, great style, good feel in the hand but a basic and flawed mobile phone.

Vodafone's simple phone gets left in the Lordpercy.com offices and although we hate it's simplicity (lack of WiFi, music playback, storage etc). We grudgingly admire it too.

Sagem's my700x mobile might have the form factor of a candybar but is it sweet to live with?  We've spent a week with it as our daily phone despite the fact we got a girly version with a luvly pink pattern.

You've seen those company exec's talking into a pocket calculator sized phone? well that was the first blackberry. But now that's a thing of the past as RIM give us the new 7100V but is it a Blackberry or a Raspberry?

Well lets hope the answer is yes as Motorola have the V3 Razr ready for its UK release within days, the 14mm thick all metal phone is quite something.

Ahhh the eternal dilemma as yet another "fashion" phone arrives at the lordpercy.com offices, but can this new Nokias Furry cladding transfer contacts or emails or perhaps connect to a Bluetooth headset? we think not...

A phone for calling people on? yep that's right not too many tricks and a nice simple user interface, Nokia has gone back to basics.

Ahhhh remember when phones were the size of a brick and groups of yuppies called Tarquin were the only ones with enough cash to make a call
