 The Navman 4400
Bluetooth GPS receiver is a wireless device ideal for in car use,
its 12 channel GPS receiver is pretty bombproof and just needs sight of the
sky to lock on to the US military satellite network to give an accurate
position +/- 10 meters. the information can then be networked to a Bluetooth
enabled device (PDA , laptop etc) which can run the supplied software or one

The Bluetooth TX part of the 4400 is a 12 channel
Class 3 Bluetooth transmitter and can communicate with "BT" enabled
devices within a 10 meter radius of the Navman unit, it can run on 3 AAA batteries
giving about 15hrs of use or more likely that in car users will take
advantage of the supplied power lead.
The bundles
SmartST Professional Version 1.96
software gives some mapping capabilities but we can't mislead you into
thinking that this will really do anymore than basic directions, its been
bundled to give you something to fire up with the Navman and like the bundles
they sell it falls short of the class leading TomTom 2 and Garmain walkers
systems.
The software included with the Navman
4400 (European Version) includes street level maps for the UK, Ireland,
France, Germany, Italy, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Austria,
Switzerland, Portugal, Spain, Norway, Denmark, Sweden
and comes with a range of mounting options for in car and mobile use.
