Nokia
have launched a
fight back against the likes of Plantronics and Sony Ericsson with the Nokia
HS-4W Bluetooth headset, Nokia had certainly lost their way the HD-W2 and
the HS-3W were poor in comparison to the competition being just too heavy
and yet offering low talk times.
The new Nokia
HS-4W promises not just to match the market leaders but beat them, with a
talk time of 6 hours and a standby of 160hrs the class 1 Bluetooth headset
certainly performs well, operating on both headset 1.1 and handsfree1.0
profiles the Nokia will pair and work with any Bluetooth enabled phone,
weighing in at just 21 grams its certainly not a heavy weight and bodes well
for long term comfort.
The lithium
polymer battery recharges in under 3 hours from flat with the supplied
charger, this is the same charger used by many Nokia phones so you may even
have a car kit that will charge your headset, style wise the Nokia looks
good, its a boom style headset with the battery contained in the behind ear
section. The in ear speaker fits nicely enough but is not a deep fit and
doesn't need to be the silver boom houses the answering MFB (multi function
button) and is emblazoned with the Nokia brand just in case you forget who
made it.
